Neighborhood originated in 1992, formerly known as neighborhood NYC (New York City), and was originally sold in Union in Soho district. Design style at that time, because the designer was American, the design style was more inclined to military patterns and simple graffiti at that time.

       Although neighborhood has not become a first-class brand in the United States, it has been stationed in the whole Asian market since its debut, especially in Japan.

       Neighborood was officially established in Japan in 1994 (different from American neighborood NYC). The copyright and design are handed over to Japanese designers, so there are some Japanese designs on graphic. Their intentions and characteristics can be seen from the simple font design.
